Dear Steven,
For the absolute longest time, I was convinced that getting married would take away every ounce of pain and heartache in my life. I was sure that this would be my ultimate chance for utter and complete happiness.
So far, I have learned that this isn’t true. I will still hurt and you will still hurt. We will still hurt.
But the greatest lesson that you have taught me is that marriage is a “journey happiness,” not a “destination happiness.” And for that I owe you everything.
